Robot Inspector provides the developer with more flexibility to test specific procedure automations and other project items and components within a solution. Robot Inspector streamlines the debugging process because the developer does not have to run through a full solution just to test one automation. Also, Robot Inspector lets users edit or modify data values and input parameters; developers can test multiple scenarios quickly without having to stop and start the debugging process to test case-specific data.

After completing this module, you should be able to:

Restate the benefits of incorporating Robot Inspector into a debugging methodology
Explain the ways to enable Robot Inspector for debugging
Describe how the Automation tab is used and what the tab provides to the developer during debugging
Add and edit global variables values to watch
Access and edit lookup table data by entering values manually or importing a file
Start and stop adapters from the Adapter tab
Select and mark control events for logging
Identify how controls are created and destroyed to account for control availability in an automation
Start robot activities within the Activity tab for debugging
Access the file, folder, and dialog windows while debugging with Robot Inspector to access, consult, or edit configuration files and solution-specific dialog windows
